Critical Guidelines:
Pressure Safety Protocols
Never exceed the compressor’s maximum rated pressure (check the data plate). Ensure pressure relief valves (PSV) are certified and tested annually.
Use ASME-certified tanks and OSHA-compliant hose restraints for systems over ½-inch ID.
Temperature and Hose Management
Verify hoses are rated for both pressure (e.g., 1.5 MPa proof pressure) and temperature (withstand up to 60°C).
Store hoses away from direct sunlight to prevent UV degradation.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Mandatory PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and heat-resistant gloves when handling components near 200°F discharge outlets.
Pre-Maintenance Precautions
Always lock out the power source and depressurize the system completely before servicing. Never rely on check valves alone.
Emergency Readiness
Install auto-drain systems to prevent accidental pressure surges and keep fire extinguishers nearby when refueling diesel compressors.
