compressed air lines for workshopCompressed air pipeline systems are widely used in various industrial production and are an indispensable part of modern industry. Today I will introduce the application of
compressed air pipelines in production workshops, hoping to help the boss who is about to add screw air compressors to his factory production workshop.
Compressed air pipeline delivers clean and stable air source for pneumatic tools and automation equipment. The modern workshop pipeline system consists of air compressor, dryer, gas storage tank, transmission pipeline network and terminal filter device. The design needs to take energy saving and environmental protection into consideration.
Material selection for
air compressor pipeline system1. Stainless steel air pipes
Commonly used in pharmaceutical, electronic and other scenes with high cleanliness requirements, corrosion resistance and smooth inner wall.
2. Galvanized steel pipes
Economical choice, but poor corrosion resistance, regular rust removal, short service life, and insufficient environmental protection.
3.
Aluminum alloy air compressor pipelineLightweight and easy to install without welding, modular design supports workshop transformation, seismic performance meets the needs of stamping workshop, corrosion resistance is good, service life is longer than stainless steel pipes and galvanized pipes, and environmentally friendly. At present, aluminum alloy air compressor pipelines are the first choice in the market. Many customers of
Airfler have upgraded from the original stainless steel air compressor pipelines to
aluminum alloy air compressor pipelines.
Layout of air compressor pipelines in the workshop
The main pipeline is laid along the wall, maintaining a slope of 0.2%-1% and setting a drain valve at the low point. The branch pipe is connected from the top of the main pipe to avoid condensate backflow; the ring pipe network ensures pressure balance. The number of elbows is equivalent to an increase of 1.5m straight pipe pressure loss for each additional 90° elbow. Therefore, the number of reasonably designed elbows should be calculated before the installation and construction of the air compressor pipeline.
Pressure control of
air compressor pipelinesThe main pipe diameter is calculated according to the peak flow rate, the low-pressure flow rate is controlled at about 5-9.6m/s, and the high-pressure flow rate is controlled at about 10~14.5m/s.
Tips for installing and maintaining
air compressor pipelines1. On-site construction requirements
The welding interface needs to be welded by argon arc welding and pass X-ray flaw detection. The vibration area uses rubber hose for buffering.
2. Acceptance criteria
The airtightness test pressure is 1.2 times the working pressure, the dew point temperature must be 8°C lower than the ambient temperature, and the oil content is ≤1ppm.
