Screw air compressors are widely used in industrial production activities.
Working principle of screw air compressorA pair of intermeshing screw rotors rotate in a sealed cavity, and the air is inhaled, compressed and discharged by continuously changing the volume. It is mainly divided into the following four stages
1. Inhalation
When the screw rotor rotates, the male and female rotor tooth grooves are connected to the air inlet, the volume between the teeth gradually increases to form a negative pressure, and the external air is inhaled into the cavity. After the tooth groove is filled with air, the rotor is separated from the air inlet, the air inhalation ends, and the cavity returns to a closed state
2. Sealing and conveying
The rotor continues to rotate, the meshing surface seals the air in the tooth groove, and pushes the gas to move axially toward the exhaust end.
3. Compression process
The meshing surface is close to the exhaust end, the volume between the teeth continues to decrease, and the gas is compressed, resulting in an increase in pressure. The oil-injected air compressor injects lubricating oil into the compression chamber to seal and lubricate; the oil-free model relies on a precision rotor gap seal.
4. Exhaust
The volume between the teeth is connected to the exhaust port, and the compressed gas is discharged from the system after reaching the set pressure. After the exhaust is completed, the tooth slots are reconnected with the air inlet, starting a new cycle.
