Rotary compressor introduction
Definition of rotary compressor
A rotary compressor is a device that achieves gas compression through rotating elements (such as screws and blades), and is a type of positive displacement compressor.
Types of rotary air compressors
1. Screw compressor
The screws or blades are compression elements, which are highly efficient and can handle a wide range of gas volumes.
2. Rotary vane compressor
Mainly used in automotive air conditioning systems, it compresses refrigerant through rotating scrapers.
3. Vane compressor
Gas compression is achieved through rotating blades.
Working principle of rotary compressor
As a typical representative of positive displacement compressors, the core components of rotary compressors include cylinders, eccentric rotary pistons, fixed vanes and crankshaft mechanisms. The volume of the closed cavity is changed by the rotation of the eccentric piston to achieve a continuous cycle of suction-compression-exhaust. Compared with traditional reciprocating compressors, it omits the linear motion conversion link of the piston and has higher mechanical efficiency.
Working process of rotary compressor
The working process of rotary compressor is divided into 3 stages
1. Intake stage: The piston rotates to connect the cylinder with the intake port, and the low-temperature and low-pressure gas enters the compression chamber
2. Compression stage: The eccentric piston continues to rotate, and the vane separates the cavity into high-pressure/low-pressure areas, and the volume gradually decreases.
3. Exhaust stage: When the pressure exceeds the exhaust valve resistance, the high-temperature and high-pressure gas is discharged through the separator.
Features of rotary compressor
1. Energy saving
Compared with traditional vane compressors, the volumetric efficiency is increased by 12% and the energy consumption is reduced by 3.8%.
2. Low noise
The pressure pulsation is reduced through dynamic sealing and high-speed operation, and the noise control is better than that of traditional compressors.
