Choosing the right lubricant is crucial to the normal operation of the air compressor. It can not only reduce the probability of air compressor failure, but also extend the service life of the air compressor, thereby reducing the management cost of the enterprise.

The importance of choosing the right air compressor oil
1. Ensure equipment safety
The use of non-special oils such as automobile engine oil and hydraulic oil may cause oil oxidation and deterioration, block the oil circuit, and in severe cases, cause the air compressor system to trip at high temperature or safety hazards. The detergent dispersant in the engine oil may destroy the oil film inside the air compressor, and the lack of anti-emulsification of the hydraulic oil can easily cause oil-water mixing, aggravating the corrosion of air compressor parts.

2. Extend the service life of the air compressor
Special oils such as mineral oil or fully synthetic oil can be designed for high temperature and high pressure conditions of air compressors, reduce wear of moving parts, and have excellent oxidation stability and thermal stability, which can extend the oil change cycle and reduce maintenance costs. Aifler provides fully synthetic oil for customers to use. Fully synthetic oil has a higher viscosity index and can withstand a wider temperature range than mineral oil. In addition, it can also reduce the formation of sludge, which will have a negative impact on the performance of the compressor.

3. Improve the operating efficiency of the air compressor
The correct oil selection can ensure that the oil film thickness is moderate, which not only reduces friction power consumption but also prevents sediment from clogging the oil circuit. For example, high-speed equipment requires low-viscosity oil to reduce operating resistance.

How to choose the right air compressor oil
1. Lubricant type
Screw air compressors usually use lubricants from 32 to 46. The specific selection needs to be combined with the equipment's working pressure, speed and operating environment.

2. Viscosity-temperature performance
High-quality lubricants should have good viscosity-temperature characteristics, that is, the viscosity fluctuates little with temperature changes.

3. Special operation requirements
If the air compressor needs to run for a long time or under high-pressure conditions, it is recommended to use long-life silicone-based lubricants, which have stronger antioxidant and thermal stability.

4. Replacement cycle
Regularly replace according to the equipment manual. It is usually recommended to replace the air compressor oil every 4 to 5 months of operation.
